What is the fifth Grade committee?
The 5th grade year at SGE is traditionally a time for celebrating and making lasting memories for our 5th grade students. We fundraise and organize class trips, gifts for each student, the promotion ceremony, and other special events specifically for our fifth graders.
How do I support the fifth grade committee?
We will be asking for donations to our snack stands, volunteers to help serve, and your support with several fundraisers throughout the year.
By participating in these fundraising and volunteering efforts, SGE 5th graders have an opportunity to support the school community, and make their final memories and moments with the class of 2027 count!
WRA SOCCER STAND
Hi 5th Grade Parents,
What an exciting year ahead! This is your child's final year at Shady Grove, and we want to make it unforgettable. Together, we can create wonderful memories for our children to leave Shady Grove with!
One meaningful way to support this goal is by supporting 5th grade events and activities organized by our 5th grade committee. These special experiences are designed exclusively for our 5th graders, and they're made possible ENTIRELY through the generosity of donations and fundraising efforts from families like yours.
Our first fundraising opportunities are on Saturday, 9/19 and Saturday, 9/26! We'll be running the snack stand at the WRA soccer games right here at Shady Grove. This is a wonderful chance for our students to take ownership and support their class. We're looking for volunteers to help run the snack stand and for donations of snacks and drinks.
To get involved, please visit the Sign-Up Genius link below to volunteer (shifts are broken into manageable one-hour commitments from 8:30 AM–12:30 PM) or to donate items.
Snack donations can be dropped off at the front office of Shady Grove between now and the Friday before each event (Friday, 9/18 and Friday, 9/25), or at the overhang at Shady Grove on the day of the snack stand (Saturday, 9/19 and Saturday, 9/26).
